Quite a ways back but this couldn't be more wrong. People immigrating here didn't adopt some culture, they blended theirs in. In many cases they didn't agree with the country's traditions because the country was incredibly racist towards blacks, asians, latinos, native Americans, the irish, etc. I guess Staton Island didn't exist. I've worked in a slaughterhouse before, and this reminds me more than anything I've ever seen of the piles of dropped scraps or the piles of bloody bone dust that accumulates under the bandsaws used to quarter a carcass that's been trimmed. But yeah more generally the style reminds me of luxury brand commercials with some jaded looking models sucking their cheeks in and pretending to care about contemporary art.

That decor is probably fine if you saw it in real life. it just looks like something from a dystopian future sc-fi show because it's a lovely phone camera shot by her spokeswoman who doesn't understand how to take good photos, and the Trump WH doesn't hire proper photographers. The bright parts are blown out and the overexposed upward-pointing lights are overwhelming the ambient light from above, which makes it look like there's a lot more contrast than there actually is. In reality, it's probably fairly nice and evenly lit.

Tucker and his wife make up a bunch of lies like they broke his door and claim their children were threatened. Media figures rush to call the protesters bad and "monstrous" and defend Carlson based on his statements despite his record of reporting in bad faith on a daily basis. Police reports indicate that none of the poo poo he and his wife said happened and also he failed to mention his "children" are highschool to legally adult aged. The people defending him didn't bother to update their messages of condemnation after this was revealed and just let it drop. Now kids are being attacked for real to which the right wing that was crying about how awful it was to involve kids are now yucking it up meaning they don't care about kids at all (shocker). The quislings that fell for the lies strangely aren't calling these right wing media people out at nearly the same vigor. Erick Erickson just called for extrajudicial killings in South America but you won't hear anyone say that the next time he's on Meet the Press. I wasn't complaining about the people on this forum (sorry if it came off that way) since the media intentionally muddied the waters allowing themselves to go along with the lies since they have solidarity with their right wing peers over the regular people they target. "We may disagree with his message but surely he wouldn't lie to US" I don't think this really needs much more discussion but it's pretty evident the facts of that event were obfuscated while the people involved slandered and supposed allies in the media helped with that in their rush to prove themselves better than people on the ground and out of solidarity with their peers. The average person probably still thinks Carlson had his door smashed while his wife hid in the back holding four crying toddlers.
