I think we are building up to a real conflict of perspectives between both Annies both real but having had different experiences. Court Annie has a much more antagonistic relationship with the forest creatures, bonded with her father in some fashion, and minor contact with Loup. Ysengrin or Loup mimicking him sent her away. Forest Annie is still very much the Forest's Medium, has had much more interaction with Loup and has entered a devil's bargain with him, to save the time frozen forest and hopefully Isengrin in some fashion, by infiltrating and doing some crime times to get those seeds for some forest schemes. Both Annie's are real but are quite literally torn between ties to both The Court and The Forest. I have no idea where this is going but a Phoenix rebirth and merging would be hella wild, an far more elemental Annie.
