ahh man, just tried it quick.. The tutorial that's supposed to explain the modes is dumb. It tells me to go to the signal and scan it until it's 100%. I went all over the station and could only get 75%. Then I aborted it and tried to do it again and the enter key stopped being able to open the ship menu (I know you can change to scanning mode by shift-2, but the tutorial wants you to go through the menu) so I couldn't do anything. Also, it doesn't let me turn off v-sync on fullscreen-windowed mode

I will give this a single full day before I cave and buy it too, I barely ever buy games over 20 bux and yet if by this time tomorrow no serious and clearly unfixable issues turn up I will not be able to resist. Combined with the recent 0.9 Starsector update, this is feeling like a good time for the Space games

I have a g-sync monitor and from what I understand in game v-sync should be off for the g-sync to work. It's annoying to have it capped at 60 fps because you can't turn off v-sync. Also their fullscreen-windowed mode doesn't really seem to be right, if you alt-tab the game minimizes just like it does in fullscreen mode

With g-sync don't you normally want to force it in the video drivers? Thats how I'm always certain which v-sync mode is actually running.

970 club , this is a fine game. looks good and smooth. I had trouble looking at the tiny text and went into the settings and turned UI from 1.0 to 1.2 everything now slightly larger and still crisp looking. pro tip, turn off auto roll or you'll wonder what the f is going on when flying around stations and the ship fights your commands.

You can see where they've rushed things, in particular almost nothing seems to have actual descriptions in the encyclopedia, but technically all the important stuff seems to work fine.

oh i downloaded it, then it turned around and downloaded another 9mb patch. If you fired it up right when it launched you might want to check and see if thats waiting to download, not sure what it was though
