I'm amazed they actually followed through on this. Trump has now officially enacted more significant gun control than Obama ever did.

A lot of people are genuinely incapable of surviving in the increasingly cut-throat capitalist world we inhabit, whether they realize it or not. Voting Turbo-Hitler or putting even more Guatemalan immigrants in concentration camps aren't going to bring back coal mining or factory jobs back. Short of implementing universal basic income and other generous socialist policies large swathes of the population are hosed forever.

Not a whole lot, they're popular with Tier 1 Tactical Operators because it simulates how they think combat works aka just nonstop firing full auto at tangos

what they really do is just convert money to noise

there's gonna be a huge outcry tho because despite them being a product with a very narrow appeal, that very narrow segment is affluent white chuds with victim complexes

this is a bump stock

you shoot it by keeping your finger in place as shown in the gif and then use your other hand to slide the gun forward into your trigger finger, then the gun fires and the recoil pushes it back. then since you're still pushing forward with your other hand you push the gun into your trigger finger again.

as you can imagine holding the gun in this manner means you have no chance whatsoever of aiming so its only purpose is to waste $50 worth of ammo in 5 seconds (to own the libs) or to indiscriminately fire bullets into a crowd of people which is what the las vegas shooter did

That looks like a simple enough mechanism that just about anyone who wants one (and isn't bothered by the whole federal felony part) will still be able to rig one up with no trouble.

Gee, it's almost as if this is a meaningless feel-good law that has zero impact on actual criminals and only serves to punish the law-abiding. :geno:

Isn't that the same argument that ammosexuals make about fully automatic weapons?

I mean, if you're okay with potentially eating a felony, there's little reason to have a bump stock and not just go full automatic, unless that particular conversion is harder than I've been led to believe.

People have accidentally had their gun turn full auto while building it, it can't be that hard.

Sure. Its a crime though as soon as it becomes usable.

Just like how a rubber band becomes a machine gun if you use it to put pressure on the trigger.

The rules lawyering around gun parts is bizarre to say the least.

i would guess youd need a skilled machinist to make the parts

ive read there are guides online but i wouldnt be surprised if some of them were fake poo poo that doesnt work put online by the feds to mislead people like they do with bomb and drug recipes
