I hate Christmas music, but that song in particular can go get unpleasantly shat upon. I hate this time of year because I have to work one Christmas concert after another for 6 weeks and all of the music is terrible. No one wants to perform an Arvo Pärt devotional or any early music or anything, it's all mid twentieth century pop bullshit. I'm not bitter at all.

However "You need to consider this song in the proper historical context or it undeniably sounds rapey" is sufficient reason to take it out of, say, grocery store holiday music playlists.
