Oof, I'm stuck on the Lileep/Anorith/Omanyte/Kabuto catches too. Guess I'll just have to luck into those slowly. And yeah oops I forgot typing with Tyranitar. I do like me the Focus Blast though so yeah, that'll work. I'm gonna have to test a lot of these battle scenarios with my alts first though because while 2-bar charge moves with good damage like Shadow Ball and Outrage are best against a computer raid boss, would I even beat something with a 1-bar big damage charge move if I get to fire off one 2-bar move and then eat their big damage move to the face? I'm kinda excited at all the meta that comes with PvP. I dunno what's gonna attract more casual players who don't like the PvP aspect to play though. I guess us goonier min-maxers can hold tournaments or something.

Good point on the nests, unfortunately I've checked all the reported nests and none of them count. I might go check out some unreported nests nearby and see whether any of them are the right ones.

The second charge move really adds quite a bit. Before, the optimal Pokemon was whichever could dish out the most damage of a single type. And since the only difficult battle scenarios were raids, you only needed to invest in one damage type. Now I’m looking at Salamance, who is currently just an inferior dragonite due to moveset, and realizing its charge moves actually means it can fight back against bad matchups unlike Dragonite.

I have a similar life-aligning-with-nests schedule to remember it; I travel with work every second Thursday to a city that have a far better system of tracking/reporting nests, but at the time I arrive they’ve only been active a few hours. Sure glad I finished that task during event with Anorith because I just saw my 2nd Lileep EVER yesterday. Also pretty sure I’ve only seen 1 or 2 Anorith ever outside the event

I wish the friends list: - Let you know if you're eligible to send a gift to someone, so I don't have to tap on them all individually. - Had some indicator to when you last swapped gifts. I have a feeling like 1/3 of the people I've added from this spreadsheet just aren't playing anymore, and it's annoying having them take up space. But I'm not exactly sure when they last opened a gift from me.

Speaking of gifts, I gotta apologize (again) for not getting back on the gifting train. Honestly, ever since they started slow-dripping Gen 4 Pokémon, my incentive for 7k eggs diminished greatly, on top of the fact that I am drowning in items. Also, looks like EX Raid passes went out. Got me one...for Thursday mid-afternoon... where I will be working 30 miles away.

It was especially nice hatching Mareep from 10k eggs while community day weekend was going on and Mareep were around you everywhere. Also this EX raid shifting is gonna fall at the worst time. This latest invite is still Thursday, can't make it of course, and just as busy Christmas time rolls around, it'll reach Friday where other obligations will prevent us from being able to do it. Great.

This is a good time to bring up that my first Ex raid was last year. It was literally on Christmas Day in one big park nearby. The park was closed, but gently caress, wife and I were willing to go. Niantic sends us a message I think on Christmas Eve basically saying “sorry, raid cancelled,” and gave us the great gift of two regular passes to make up for it. Pretty lovely.

Anyone here playing on a rooted phone, especially for a while without any problems? I would like to root my Galaxy S7, but hesitant on getting myself locked out. I have read some articles/posts about ways to bypass it, but someone here verifying they are having success and what they did to do so would give me more confidence in going through with it.

That's awesome though, because it's guaranteed to have great IVs and you'll save over 100k stardust if you do decide to max it out. (You'd still need to hoard a lot of candy, though.)

Riolu/Lucario will most likely become a raid boss someday, given how hard Nintendo pimped Lucario out when it was new as a face of its current gen. I'm not too worried about finding one in an egg right now. Lucario mega evolving seems to be a big deal to the franchise's presentation so I'm sure there will be more ways to get it eventually.
