Recently started this new strategy multiplayer game Star Trek: Fleet Command some more info on startrek.com Not sure what the end game involves yet as there isn't much information online about it so far, but it seems to involve alliances battling it out for territory etc? Obviously set up to encourage microtransactions but I have been playing since last week and haven't had to buy yet - every now and again you hit a resource wall so just stop playing, wait and pick up later - usual stuff. I've started an alliance Goon Squad [GOON] hit me up for an invite if you want in.

A few of us from galaxy if heroes made the Gooninites alliance (I'm Sendric in game). Players are assigned to servers randomly with no way to transfer, so it is hard to get a cohesive SA alliance going. The devs are allegedly working on that has a high priority fix.

I think they just call them that? I'm not sure. You're a demon fighting for the crown of Hell from what I gather, so your summoned fighters are called "children". I have to admit though, I didn't really read those, but ugh, sorry I did now.. I *really* hope something was lost in translation there.

Anyone else pre-reg for Baby F.U.C.K? Apparently you summon mystical beings called "Babies" and have them battle, seems like the combat system is pretty good. Anyone know what "Fighting Under a Crimson Knight" could mean, plot wise? Anyway, I'm excited for the release, or as the MC in the game says, "Let's go baby gently caress!"

I saw Shining Force 1 and 2 are available as an app now. Does anyone know if they have any changes from the Genesis games of old? Also lol at the patch notes: "ads no longer appear after you buy ad-free." "Using magic in SF2 no longer crashes the game." I'm not feeling inspired to get the games here...but I'd still like to know if they're exactly as I remember them or not.

All the old cheat codes using the 2nd controller are dead, and I haven't been able to get the codes entered when the sega logo is loading working... but I haven't tried it with a controller. Despite the weird save issues the emulation is good, and Sega has said they're looking at the usage numbers to decide what to focus on in the future, so I'm playing through them. Also, I loving love Shining Force, so if there's any chance this leads them to translate and release 3, I'm doing it.

Thanks a lot. Is SF1 the one from a few years back on the Nintendo DS or whatever that had some new characters? Also, without cheat codes I can't rename my party members and that was one of my favorite things to do

Predicably though, reddit appears to be complaining that the english release is censored and people should use the korean one. These kinds of games can only get more prevalent to be honest. Sex sells, horny teens buy - the overlap or blur between games and outright porn will only get worse I think. Even these high effort attempts (high effort in comparison to the usual steam asset flip type things).

It's not NEARLY as good of a game as 2, which actually holds up pretty well, but it's neat to see where the neanderthal ancestor of Disgaea split off from Fire Emblem.

I've got an issue with Armello on my Galaxy S8+. I've posted the issue on the League of Geeks bug forums but it appears those forums have simply vaporized, so I guess I'll try here. It's pretty straight forward: during the tutorial there's a text box that's cut off in the bottom of the screen, and I can't tap the "tap to continue" prompt. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?

I loaded it on an emulator via VPN since it's not something I'd want associated with my phone. It's not a quick cash grab, they've obviously put a lot of effort into it but as pointed out it's a bit contraversial for western tastes I think. You couldn't sit and play it on a bus or work lunch break. It's not like the artwork is terribly explicit, TV adverts show more skin than this here, more the blatant sexualization of everything. The motion thing it has going might be a decent attempt at breaking up the static nature of the screens if it didn't look weird and overdone. Under the hood though it's just a standard gacha with pay to win (faster) and wall to wall grinding.
