I finally got brave enough to go outside of my Conquest bubble and holy poo poo I think I’m in love with Breakthrough! It’s so much fun and not quite as hectic as conquest. You guys are crazy, this game is very fun. It took awhile to get used to the harder to pick out enemies style the game has but the more you play the more enemies pop out in the distance. I thought in BF1 it was a little too easy to see enemy players over long distances. Which made sniping too easy. Now the only map you see a poo poo ton of snipers on is aerodrome.

Breakthrough is great, Grand Ops is also really good but the best parts are just Breakthrough again, and Frontlines is a couple tweaks from being really good as well

It is astounding how many people will push through the hallways of the hangar on Aerodrome Breakthrough. You can capture the point from outside on the ridge line.

Tides of War is fuckin’ awesome and I can’t wait to finish it all. Also, the AA Tank is buffed to the Moon and that new open field tank level is highly conducive to racking up kill streaks when you’re in said AA Tank. I started off with 15 straight kills the first time I even played the level tonight. Shooting those AA cannons into the side of a tank at close range and watching the sparks and flames shoot everywhere is outrageously satisfying. Many things have been fixed as of today. I am pleased.

They neutered my Bf109g6 I used to run High altitude, 20 mm explosive rounds Nitro And maneuverability But the update cut the link of nitro to maneuverability Wtf. Also they cut the ammo way down on my fighters.

The way Battlefield awards points makes conquest bad. There's no incentive to defend points. So once you take a point it's more profitable to immediately run off and take another. In Breakthrough, there's at least a reason to defend a point and build it up.

So what game mode would be the best to get 20 hipfire kills (on a capture point within 1 round) with the STEN? I'm on the last step of mastery for it and it's such a poo poo hipfire gun that I'm struggling more than I thought I would. Ive been doing conquest trying to stay on the most contested points but after about 15 games I'm still coming up short each time.

I like the changes to aircraft ammo and some of the other stuff, but it seems buggier than before. I’m only now getting the game freezing up trying to check assignments during a game that others commented on in the past...

The M1907 SF seems kinda great? It's like a half-way gun between SMG and assault rifle. It's only downside is the magazine size. Seems like you can build it more as a SMG or an AR with its specializations.

That combined with a some solid pistol skills means you got the short, medium, and long game on lock.

If I'm on console, I'm bad enough to get used to analogue controls, so the playing field is more level. So can anyone explain to me how A on Rotterdam got past the initial design phase? There are a billion and one places for the Germans to hide, and it's extremely easy to get to. Meanwhile E is this massive open space, against the water. It's impossible to hide there.
