The AU would be better served keeping it as only portrayed in the comic instead of stating “they’re dating now”, imo, because it becomes their defining, noted characteristic by virtue of it being one of the few things explicitly noted by author caption in their one appearance, instead of a single facet of them. (I may be misremembering and the comic caption wasn’t “they’re dating”, in which case ignore the above.) Fictional queer people having personalities and identities well beyond their sexuality or gender is an important part of good representation, as opposed to hollow almost-nothing The actual game, meanwhile, should have had them get together Or better yet, also given Shiho an actual characterization beyond “equivalent of a fancy vase of Ann’s that needed to be repaired by a professional after the sex predator gym teacher threw it off the roof.” (She jumped, yes, but come on.) Shiho should have been a party member, imo. Although I guess that would have opened up it's own can of worms in the skeeviness of her then also having to be a romantic interest like the other female party members.

My spicy take on Korra is that her ending up with Asami is good, but Bryke aren't great at writing more than a general plot outline and the setup for the relationship developing into romance was half-assed. And the real ship that should've happened was Mako and Prince Wu.

I think it's just that this AU's not really focused on the ageswapped kids. Man I'm so glad I had 55 replies to read that were talking about this. So yeah, P5 in Smash is pretty cool. Besides the Casino, any other ideas for stages? A friend of mine was suggesting they just do Mementos and have it cycle between different palaces like the Fire Emblem stage.

So yeah, "historical accuracy" being the fig leaf for complaints and such, but then again, like the underlying hypernationalists and such lurking in the Paradox community, these people all but infest the Total War/Creative Assemby community as well.
