I’ve caught a cop perjuring himself in sworn affidavit and deposition, but I doubt the state attorney actually does anything about it. Makes for an easy suppression hearing, though. In another case I caught the alleged victim in a lie and now she won’t return the state attorney’s calls. He’s likely to drop the case and might pursue her for falsifying a report. I don’t really know or care if they’ll pursue criminal action against either, but it sure makes my life as a defense attorney easier.

I remember reading an amusing story where a judge in Georgia took some woman's kids away from her because she complained about some aspect of the hearing. When the woman appealed, the judge took her attorney's kids away from her, too. Turned out the judge was taking bribes from some adoption mill to speed up the adoption process. This was from back when I was in law school, though, don't know if there were any consequences for the judge.
