I got a shiny Misdreavus today from the quest reward, I love it and can't wait until I finally get a third loving Sinnoh stone in probably 8 years and can evolve it.

I'm serafaina and the only trading tier I care about is best friends, and I don't really care about it that much, so pop them eggs and open them presents. I also have three quests involving an excellent throw or excellent curveball throw. I just can't hit inside the drat ring. Any tips?

Ponyta are also common and easy to hit. Ursaring is EXTREME CLOSEUP distance but good luck finding one of those in the wild. I always thought it was funny that Ursaring's appearance was like a LOOK OUT A BEAR IS RIGHT THERE kinda thing. Also most legendaries are good throw practice. Hit it with a nanab berry and then try your luck.

Kangaskhan is how I finished 3 excellent throws in a row the one time I got it, not as easy was Wailmer but a lot more common here. I thought I was going to be able to do it throwing regular pokeballs at Shedinja, but no, he was caught first ball. Does anyone know when they plan to switch over Volbeat and Illumise? Ponyta are my favourites for excellent curve throws. Kangaskhan I like to use for regular excellents and "get three X throws in a row" as they're common as dirt in Australia, have a catch rate that means they never stay in the ball, and have the biggest rings ever. Also, just keep trying to make every curve ball excellent and eventually you will get it. Most excellent curve balls that aren't on a Ponyta/Wailmer/Kanga are ones that I get completely by accident. Your probability of succeeding in the quest tends to 1 as the number of trials approaches infinity.

I'd say if you raid at all, machamp and ttar are pretty free excellent throws especially if you circle lock them because raid bosses attack all the time.

I'm on the special research where you have to catch 2 Omanyte/Kabuto, 2 Lileep/Anorith and an Aerodactyl. I see maybe one Kabuto every two months, no Omanytes unless it's raining (I'm in CA, so hardly ever), never seen a Lileep, and have only seen an Anorith during the previous event, and Aerodactyl maybe twice ever. This is idiotic.
