trump didn't use campaign money in the illegal payment in question: he had michael cohen pay for them then reimbursed Cohen with his corporation. it's illegal because it's a six-figure unreported campaign donation, not because it was campaign funds that didn't get reported

"no end in sight" is a good documentary about the invasion and aftermath (and even has future mass rep seth moulton as a talking head). the invasion was always incredibly stupid and illegal but man did they totally screw the peace. no reason for iraq to end up like it did even with the invasion.

The point I saw was to encourage eliminating salt as an additive flavoring as well as high-sodium processed foods, and force self-op school systems and contractors to use more whole foods that include sodium only as a naturally occurring ingredient.

The implementation of these rules was very disruptive to menu creation and costing and thus business operations for school cafeterias. And it is big business.

There are other ways to force whole food adoption, specifically by requiring whole foods be served.

The targeted amounts of sodium are just so low that they are essentially incompatible with palatable cooked food. Two eggs scrambled with a single pinch of salt and nothing else is right at the limit set by the breakfast requirements for high schoolers.

Not just A market, but far and away their largest market.

China simultaneously represented A: the country where the most iPhones are sold yearly, B: The country with the highest iPhone purchasing growth rate, and C: the country with the largest remaining untapped "potential iPhone buyers". Though local competition has reduced Apple's relative market share within China, the smartphone market there in general is still growing rapidly, and Apple has benefited greatly from it.

Though I don't find it particularly likely, if the injunction holds, it is pretty devastating to Apple's revenue growth.

Is it intended to compensate for overconsumption of sodium outside of school? i.e. kids are getting too much sodium from fast food, frozen meals, etc.

Or is sodium just an overblown food panic similar to fat?

Sodium is really overblown unless you get way too high. Same with lipids, they aren't that bad for you compared to all the sugar we eat.

I have seen some people try for no sodium diets ignoring the fact that your body will shut down

I do not think it's a coincidence that a Chinese court is suddenly holding a gun to the head of Apple in the middle of a trade war, especially when the US just grabbed a Hauwei executive and started openly talking about using her as a bargaining chip. So I don't think a different Chinese court is going to overturn that decision on appeal while the rest of the trade war is going on.
