My big Saint Seiya fan friend was pretty let down by it so far. I have no knowledge of Saint Seiya but maybe I'll try to summarize her thoughts since they were interesting and made me want to watch Saint Seiya

OG Series is OK but could really drag on in places. Best arc is Asgard (even though that's anime-only, I think?), pretty much everything else varies from "christ, this is still going?" to "Hey, that was fierce!". I briefly followed Omega, but quickly lost interest.

Omega's first series is fun no-budget generic shonen, with some interesting character work thrown in here and there. Also, Yuna gets to be extremely cool extremely often. The second series is basically just the execs going 'this needs to be more Saint Seiya' and burying the whole thing under a mass of original series cameos and terrible aesthetic decisions. Luckily, the first series is entirely self-contained, if you've got a hankering for what I just described.

I read a bit of Saintia Shou as well and it reuses a lot of plotlines from the 80s movies but I'll give the anime a shot because it has a good look

I couldn't really get into Saint Seiya when i tried watching it, but I was a big fan of the character's backstory that was "choked exactly 100 bears out just to prove he could"

I enjoyed episode one of Saintia Sho a bit, packing all of volume 1 into a single episode really made the pacing bearable and it matches the style of the 80s show incredibly well which is fun to watch

I know this sucks for the staff, but I can't really feel as bad about this one as Marchen Madchen. I mean, MM was an inoffensive, good-natured show produced as a tribute to the recently dead LN author. MSMW is just imouto shovelware.
