Hopefully that actually changes. That being said, you do not “gotta hand it to him” Exactly what has Trump done to bring costs down?

I'm sort of wondering if Trump hasn't played himself somewhat by angering Roberts with that "Obama judges" comment (and let's make it clear, if he felt the need to respond, he was upset.) In a lot of ways, by saying judges represent the party that appoints them he's calling Roberts a Republican stooge, and the only way Roberts can rebuff that is to vote against conservative/Trump rulings. In which case the Supreme Court may not even hear this healthcare thing, and it could have bigger repercussions down the line. Of course none of this matters if the investigation moves along enough that he has to pull a Nixon and resign, and Pence issues a full and complete pardon and seals documents.

Holy poo poo the face of that guy in the center frame. "Did this dude just say what I think he said?" For real, though, deterrence is a common line of thinking within our government about the border and refugee crises. It's something we even heard from Obama when an immigration lawyer challenged him on the subject, Barack Obama posted:“I’ll tell you what we can’t have. It’s these parents sending their kids here on a dangerous journey and putting their lives at risk.” Now, of course, there is a huge difference between "you will die on the journey," and "you will die in our custody," but it's a difference of degrees, of weaponizing the same sentiment: it is dangerous to come here, don't bother, we don't want you.

When I was in High School we had a student who stayed with the principals family who had walked from El Salvador fleeing gang violance. Asserting that, that it is a dangerous thing for a child to do this and it is and deterrence by seperation families is the same is disingenuous. Obama's failure on this issue is not thinking in terms of deterrence, it's failing to understand that staying was more dangerous for these childern, than the rather dangerous journey.
