I doubt there's any incident or drama, just Matt pulling the trigger on something he's probably been seriously thinking about for months.

I was into them from day 1 with that Kirby's Epic Yarn video. Back then, I got my video game funnies out of a site called Halolz. Lolz was the way to say funny at the time, and Halo meant videogames. See, in those days we had to follow blogs, none of your fancy schmancy social medias you kids have nowadays. Oh and those comment section puns, if you didn't have fifteen upvotes in your comment due to a pun, you might as well not have seen that post. I think nowadays they call that reddit. Anyway, we would all gather up in the Halolz and watch the Kirby's Epic Yarn video in 360p, but if you new the secret code, you could watch in in high quality, the pristine and legendary 480p that only the rich knew of. Ooh baby, you better believe watching Two Best Friends Play in 480p was the bees knees. It wasn't until 720p was invented that you could actually see those bees' knees, but back then, 480p let you feel it. In conclusion, Best Friends Play is a channel of contrasts.

What got me into the Blundering Best Buddies was their Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance LP. Particularly the part where they actually took the time to learn the moves and combos in the game instead of just mashing buttons and blaming the game for being too hard, which is what you'd expect of Let's Players, especially back then.

Yo, without watching the video above for spoilers can someone like...sell me on the Omikron LP? I remember giving the first ep a go and wasn't really feeling it and then hearing that get they stuck for a long period of time so I never got back to it. Heard a few times already it's some people's favorite (including Matt's). What makes it so magical? FWIW I loved their playthroughs of Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and Detroit. Omikron just seemed a little...too far out there for me at first.

At first it starts out a very unassuming LP and around the 20s the descent into madness begins to the point where the video descriptions, thumbnails, and even the title begin to change as well as the boys slowing lose their minds and are drained of their souls It is a magical LP and absolutely a favorite of mine

If you like their suffer throughs of the other games it's all of that to 11. You can't even blame anyone for getting lost or frustrated with the game because it's just SO loving BAD. Maximum Daveed Khaagey. There's no point in trying to make sense of it you just have to embrace it's eldritch madness and ride though them losing their loving minds.

You know how Cage really really likes putting in very dumb twists along with throwing in random organizations and secret cabals and Illuminati kind of stuff? There's a lot of that happening in this game, and it's an adventure-style game too, so this was before "Game Overs are a Failure of the Game Designer". It gets so confusing and out there that its actually a pretty surreal experience to watch them go through all that and try to process what the gently caress is happening, and there's no Cinematic-style gameplay to make any of the gameplay elements easier.

I’m just now remembering Pat and Woolie going on a like 30 minute quest to find a single magic ring so that they can save the game and go home. All because the in game hint system costs 5 magic rings for some reason and they didn’t realize that until late that episode.
