GF dumped me for supporting Trump - how do I get her back?

I've been dating Laura for two months, and she came over to my apartment for the first time Friday night. She saw my MAGA hat on the couch and asked if I'm a Trump supporter. I said yes, and Laura told me we have incompatible ideas for the future and left. I've tried calling, texting, and emailing her, and she hasn't replied yet. We hadn't talked about politics much, but Laura's an amazing girl and I thought she was the one.

I've tried explaining to her that I'm not one of those misogynistic Trump voters, I just want America to be safe and the economy to be good, which they have been. How do I get her back?

I think it's more like it's massively compromised. There's still lots of great stuff but garbage like the climate change scandal and this bullshit labor article get to Trojan Horse their way in because the rest is legitimate. Another in the litany of stuff we need to do is get back to heavily increasing public funding the Smithsonian and PBS/NPR and making it so corporations can't buy advertising give generous donations with no intent of repayment to public organizations with stuff and piggyback off their good names.

At this point the response to any "fiscal conservative" crying about funding anything should be "gently caress you, we have no reason to listen to your garbage."

This does not make sense when, again, aggregate indicia also indicate improvements. The belief that things are worse is false. It remains false.

It's complicated, as always. The whole institution's been subject to the same aggressive, corrosive efforts of the Kochs as everywhere else. My understanding is that there's also a fair amount of just incompetence and infighting at senior levels, akin to the stereotype of government bureaucracy. All that said, there's also a lot of good people working there. I've not got any modern contacts there so I don't know how it's shifted over the last decade or so.

The point is that the popular narrative was a disingenuous "a couple bad apples" thing, that people tried to deliberately paint the shirtwaist fire as a problem that a specific bad set of owners had, to distract from it being a systemic problem and most of the reports of the being law breaking scoff laws ended up to not be true, they had followed the law pretty closely, and the issue was the laws being insufficient, not a couple of crime dudes sneaking around ignoring the perfectly good laws as was popularly reported at the time.

This is all completely wrong and the opposite of what happened (in fact once it was made illegal they just went on breaking the new law), but it's OOCC so okay.

It's weird how only wealthy respectable men who wear suits and kill people from behind a desk for noble motives like vast amounts of money get this "legality is morality, how are they to know killing is wrong if the law doesn't tell them" defense.

Like if tomorrow it turned out that due to some odd oversight it's perfectly legal to knife people for their tennis shoes and a couple of proles get acquitted for it on a technicality I guaran-drat-tee you there won't be respectable sounding articles titled "Has History Judged The Shoe-Stealing-Knifers Fairly?" "After all, they technically followed the law so how were they to know what they were doing was wrong, and say isn't the real bad guy here the government and also all of us for paying money for shoes in the first place, and the guys knifing people for organs really have no responsibility for their actions if you think about it and maybe we owe them our business and an apology for scapegoating them."
