You could literally train a classifier on any data set and all you’ll eventually get if the underlying theory (also presumably, their data set) is stupid is a ridiculously overfitted algorithm to said stupid data set. Hell Im pretty amateur and I think I could whip together some crappy classifier in Python in a couple hours and then train it on a tiny data set of pictures of Osama bin Laden and Barrack Obama. Then it will be really good at classifying things that happens to share patterns to pictures of Osama as terrorists while identifying other patterns as middle aged black presidents.

It blows my mind how those faces look very plausible and not one bit off. There's no uncanny valley at all or something like that. It reminds me of that "race filter" from Faceapp that got removed after tons of backlash. It was pretty impressive, despite the controversy.
