They would rationalize it as a win, or ignore it and point to their next goal. No what needs to happen is for the wall to remain unbuilt four years on and acting as a daily reminder of failure. Mostly because dementia patients need those reminders.
They'd basically argue that it'd totally work if the deep state weren't funding the cartels to sneak people over. Or that if dems didnt hold them back it'd be loaded with land mines and gun turrets and poo poo.

Some of them have but I think alot of them want to go back to America's pre WW1 isolationist tendencies. So many of them hate globalism and would fully advocate for just shutting international travel down, nobody in or out, and building a wall around the entire country.

Apparently it’s breaking that trump is going to veto the continuing resolution and shut everything down until he gets his wall.
It's the only thing he can do to keep his base with him, but the body language from Republicans on the hill the last few hours has been pretty telling.
I think he can probably at least get some money, but he's going to have to give the Dems DACA. I'm sure there will be no problems in the Senate or writing a bill to do that in 36 hours
