Came here to post this. GW has really turned a corner. Who would have thought a few years ago they would do something like take the best fan made production guys and give them an animated show?

They should have gotten the Astartes guy to do it, that series has amazing CGI (all 2 minutes of it).

You know they're just going to use the Primarisification process as an excuse as to why he has to start from scratch and he's lost all his skills from the previous game.

GW should find their balls and have like, Respawn or someone, make a 40k shooter about the Guard. Huge set pieces, small unit tactics overlaid on a larger theatre of war, absolutely no space marines... it’s glorious in my minds eye

Today's Advent story was an HH short by ADB following Lotara, the captain of the World Eaters flagship and Kharn's best friend, on the journey to Terra. Angron is chained in the hold, World Eaters are slaughtering crew faster than they can be replaced, and the ship has an (insane) mind of its own. Things are so bad a bunch of World Eaters stage a mutiny to escape the ship, they don't even want to leave the legion, just the ship.

It's an excellent holiday read.

Dammit, since I don't have an e-reader, this is legit one of the few things I really want in audiobook format. Of course it won't ever get that treatment and I'll likely have to wait until after the Battle of Terra before it makes it into a compilation HH paperback book.

The titan needs you to sniff out Warhounds lurking in the shadows? :black101: :blastu:

Now that the imperium knows that is what the pylons did and we know (from the alpha legion book, not sure if the imperium knows) that the center of the Galaxy is filled with them I expect this exact plan to come up as a plot point. I think that they will resolve the imperium split issue by using pylons to make a single path through the cicateix maledictum and defending that single path can become the new cadia.

With the whole half the alpha legion may still be loyal plot point they might be involved since they know about the pylons in the core.

From the Lexicanum:

quote:

Members of the Order engage in the Quest for Knowledge as other Tech Priests, though differ in that they regard flesh not as inferior to metal, but instead as a different type of machine

So it appears to be ranking of a senior member of the particular sect.

Sons of the Hydra. It got panned as a bad book but I really enjoyed it. The basic synopsis is an Alpha Legion warband, who still consider themselves loyalists, are on a quest to find Omegon. It eventually leads them to the core of the galaxy where the pylons get more numerous the closer to the center they get to the point where eventually warp travel becomes impossible and a word bearer's ship returns to normal uncorrupted status.

Telsa Cola posted:

I dunno. I imagine it would work like how a demon existing outside the warp works. It is really hard for them to exist and stay and without proper rituals/power being constantly fed into them they eventually get sucked back into the warp. So the blank probably wouldn't be able to exist in the warp for very long if at all.

Hi there, would you like to try some spicy products?
I just finished 'Garro' as my first full-length book on Audible, and it was amazing.

I knew in advance about Garro's quest to gather legionaries for the Knights Errant, since some of those stories were included in the anthologies I read on my first run through the Horus Heresy, so some of the plot twists (like Loken being the insane beast on Isstvan) weren't a surprise to me, but 'Shield of Lies' had a pretty big mind-blower in store for me.

I thought the plot was some run-of-the-mill type of deal where it's slowly revealed that some heretic governor or whatever was funneling resources and war material to a secret base, but I also thought "What if it's actually Malcador that's behind this?", but the latter seemed absurd to me since Malcador wouldn't need to go about it in a clandestine fashion since he's the loving Sigillite and it's his goddamn job to allocate resources in the war against Horus.

When they revealed that Malcador was, in fact, behind it, I immediately called bullshit and was bummed out for a bit until Malcador reveals that he's building the fortress monastery of the future Inquisition, which blew my mind, because I realized I had been too dense to pick up on the fact that Malcador couldn't have openly done it since doing its purpose was essential in defiance of the Imperial Truth. Cool drat book, I wish there'd be a whole story arc about the founding of the Inquisition out there.

...or is there one that I don't know of?
