Key difference is that Trump hasn’t found any competent shrills yet.

Trump is basically a lazy poo poo and already too loving stupid to think clearly enough to utilize his power. He's an angry Reagan that won't take a script and is given his own little box to toss his poo poo into the media without any janitors or teleprompters to keep him even literate. He's too much of a doughy poo poo to even start a war against another country, he'll just send children to a gulag. He's a more incompetent Vasily Stalin.

It's not even that. It's more falling back on old sinning habits and losing the progress you've made with Jesus. You don't have to leave the church to get shunned for this, but you can always come back after declaring how horrible you were and re-re-rededicating your life to Christ.

I guess I just can't understand the zero sum world view that seems to be "in order for me to do well in life many other people have to lose out". There's a lot of that zero sum world view out there in general these days (IMO propagated and amplified by social media trends of pettiness) from everything to how people digest media to how political achievements are graded by those in power and it's just not in touch with how the world actually works at all in the post WWII global economy/hegemony. Like until more people understand that not everything in life involves somebody having to "lose" for somebody else to "win" it seems like the worlds is going to be filled with these problems.

The problem is (if you’re in the upper quarter or so of US households at least - or if you aspire to be) that it is win/lose. Your affluence and lifestyle demand oppression. There arent the resources for everyone to live that way and you need starvation to compel people to do lovely jobs so you can have more stuff.

The way you justify this is nationalism and racism and other methods that allow you to believe you are simply more deserving. Another way is actively not thinking about it.

Man those people in that photo really look like they're regretting their life decisions that led them here. Not enough to, you know, *not* work for him, but still regret that photo evidence now exists.

By "giving out the contract" he probably means he ranted to the empty room about who would pay him the most for the contract, and technically we already have a border fence in some areas that is already complete! Also I'm 100% sure that is a blank piece of paper. I think one of his aides learned from the last picture of him with a blank page and changed up the angle so we can't see if it has text on it or not.

Seeing as he's used a hyphen correctly in some places (and incorrectly added extraneous ones in other places), I'm interpreting his inclusion of "Christ rejecting Jews" as specifically stating Christ is going to hell for rejecting Jews. Pretty hardcore to include your own savior amongst the damned, but rules is rules, I suppose.

Oh 100% and it's impressive too because my god has he just been utterly pathetic particularly since losing the house. I just still don't get it, I keep coming back to it but what is the purpose of leaving this guy in office? At least SOMETHING positive for the United States and it's Western Democratic allies might get done under a semi-functional human being, but not with this guy that just wants to whine the days away for the next 2 years.

At this point I don't even know what a re-election campaign is gonna possibly look like? Like what's he going to run on? "Vote for me again, I lost the house for my party badly under favorable economic conditions. Vote for me again if you want more endless whining and lying on twitter, self-centeredness to a self-parodying degree, campaign promises I can't deliver on even with total control of all branches of government, the worst policy decision making and prioritizing humanly possible that pisses off everybody but our enemies, a bad unstable economy, corruption unlike anything seen since the Grant administration with people quitting high level cabinet positions all the time, and an ever encroaching sense of unease about what terrible thing will happen to the United States next."

I think the last couple weeks have done it, I don't see how he's going to win the presidency again. Maybe even after he won the house I'd have put him at 50/50 because of his base (and even then it looks like Michigan and Pennsylvania have turned on him already), but I just cannot see it now. If he runs again and wins it's because the electorate doesn't want a functional stable democratic republic anymore.
