The best part is that they aren't even doing basic math on it, yeah they raised 10 million in like 4 days and that is just 1% of their goal, so at the current rate is about 400 days to hit the goal. 2000 days for all 5 billion, or roughly mid 2023.

Oh and you can't just give money to the government and tell them that it's earmarked for something that wasn't appropriated, but they dont care.

Buying the land would eat up so much money that they wouldn't have any left over for their beautiful designer steel slats. The gummint can grab a lot of that land via eminent domain, which I'm SURE is factored into Trump's highly scientific cost estimhahahaha couldn't keep a straight face on that one, sorry.

There are also the added costs of redesigning the wall since they probably don't have the exact schematics available, coordinating the building so the wall doesn't end up crooked or unstable, bulldozing or clearing existing buildings and landmarks...

Unless the thing you are making is a straight road, construction and infrastructure on a large scale is hard, and expensive.

I volunteer at my local VA. I was asked to sort through a large box of Christmas cards to sort out any that had a religious theme. Those would be sent to the hapel and only distributed by them.

I politely refused.

I then went on to note that if the government was so concerned about offending some with religion, they need to stop saying “Happy Holiday” since the root of the second part is in fact “Holy Day”.

We all agreed that political correctness has ruined everything it touches.

I just don’t say ANYTHING to anyone unless they greet me first.

If I get a ‘Merry Christmas’, I smile and say “AND a Merry Christmas to YOU also”.
If I get ANYTHING else, I smile and say “NO - it is MERRY CHRISTMAS” - thank you anyway.

And if I see banners etc saying ‘HH’ I point at it and say “REALLY?” and normally just get a shrug.

OTOH, if I do not know someone, I let them address me first - don’t want to ‘offend’ one by saying Hello and hurting their feelings.

I am not running for office or looking to make ‘friends’ so I really don’t care what you may ‘think’ of me.

My former wife used to say something like “You are so miserable NO one will come to your funeral” I would respond with “I really don’t care, it won’t bother me, may embarrass YOU - if YOU decide to show up”

Forced speech is wrong. Compelled speech is wrong.

Whether a liberal bully saying “you WILL use these made up pronouns or face prison/fines/mob violence” or a conservative saying “You will say Merry Christmas, whether you don’t celebrate it or don’t like the person” is ALL unfair and oppressive.

The simplest solution is saying “Merry Christmas” or whatever other greeting you want, and defending the right of others to say what they want.

The problem is the erosion of the very principle of free speech in society. That’s why liberals are siding with Big Tech censorship, retreating to “well, it is only bad if government does it” ...

The worst part is their definition of love and politeness to equal liberal dogma, so hate speech by definition is everything liberals disagree with. That lets them classify “Merry Christmas” or the term “illegal alien” as hate speech and ban it, because they have elitist arrogance to say the good terms only apply to them and power to say everyone else’s opinions are evil incitement to violence to be banned.

So this is the only one I feel bad for. He doesn't lament or curse his wife who left him. He seems to be finding comfort in planning to make a little memorial to his dead friend, which is sweet but very :smith:.

I mean he's probably a huge rear end in a top hat because he's on freep but I still found this one sad.

I had this reaction to a shot of W at one point during the HW hooplah when they carried HW past him into the National Cathedral. Then I remembered how many other people he put through the same thing but without 60 years of time together or the chance to say goodbye and I got over it.

I hope they're all miserable, but it won't matter because not a single one of them will ever realize why their families have cut them out of their lives. To them, it's just because they obviously couldn't handle all the #MAGA and the #winning, stupid libs! :smug:

Yeah, same here. I think that's a natural and healthy reaction, even when you know that someone's misery is self inflicted and well deserved.

This is a coded message from Q that Trump is standing in solidarity with them.

THere's a lot to unpack here, but I'm just surprised this guy isn't totally in favor of a banner that reads HH.

I recommend every reader of this thread listen to the podcast "Slow Burn" from Slate. The second season goes through the Clinton impeachment scandal. The final episode brings up Freep in passing.

Lion King, when kid Simba meets Timon and Pumba. I'd wager it's a fairly old bit though.
