not a lot of explicitly gay stuff, yuri or yaoi, gets made into anime, and in terms of yaoi most of what gets adapted is the stuff aimed at fujos who want porn and shock value and not really realistic character dynamics. so theres a reason that guy mentioned manga

Late to respond, but yeah, Monogatari S2 is pretty good. I personally liked a couple of arcs even more than Bake and the rest somewhat less, but that might just have been me getting older.

I never saw it so I can't pass judgement. mediocre mecha action, rapey dynamics (main character has a crush on a guy, secondary more serious girl nearly rapes her in response to learning this, big yikes), ends with the secondary girl becoming evil and vindictive for main character's 'own sake' which is just an abusive relationship straight up, also the manga ends with them being reincarnated as sisters rofl. the anime at least just makes it a regular reincarnation theres a couple of good things in it, i like the idea of them being forced to fight each other by forces outside their control but their love being more powerful than that, but it's hard to buy into that love for fairly obvious reasons, and its generally just not a good show
