I don't think it is trollable. If you don't think the world of fine art isn't inherently trollable, then you have not been paying attention to art. About 75% of all art is trolling. The fact that video games have yet to adopt this approach is why they are not art.

Apropos of nothing, I saw a poster for the Sonic movie the other day when I saw Spider-Man. It was one of those big stand type poster, but like, it was at the very back of the theater. Also, there were no other advertisements nearby, and it was placed in a relatively dark corner. It was pretty fitting and a little unsettling.

lookin at the real possibility of significantly messing with my top ten list. not only did I forget I beat RE2 for the first time this year, I've also squeezed Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Timespinner right before the finish line, and I really fuckin' loved Timespinner, which might hold the distinction of one of the few games where I went and played through an entire other playthrough right after beating it. new game+ with bonuses, but still.

With under 48 hours left, I finished the only 2018 resolution I had, which was “finally beat FFVII”.  I beat about 40-45 games after I decided I was going to. I’m tempted to say I should get to the end of Persona 3 and 4 after however the hell long for 2019 but... I don’t want to push my luck.

I finally started Dragon Quest 11 and drat that's a neat opening couple of hours. Also I'm trying to get back into Monster Hunter World slowly but surely. I'm trying to main bow and worrying just how much I need to obsess over stats.

Metacommentary alone has never impressed me, and even the best examples of it still manage to emotionally involve the viewer, be it toward personal reflection or political action. The quickest way to discover how relatively easy it is to provide "trolling" commentary, and how incredibly difficult by comparison to provoke a genuine emotional response in another human being, is to try creating your own art.

Picked up Dead Cells on my Switch yesterday, and it's a delight to play in bed  Feels like a lot of indie games lend themselves really really well to being on the Switch in handheld mode, and it's almost akin to a mini SNES era renaissance of cool titles to enjoy.

Their new rules also did nothing to stop porn bots and I've been having like 3 of them follow me each day. Even sfw artists are gone from my feed and the place is more of a ghost town than this forum.

99% of my artist friends had left tumblr already years ago which tells me it had probably settled in to being a good place for really niche folks with established followings so it sucks that tumblr killed itself but whatever, people will have to move on. Another piece of evidence to never tie your livelihood to any single 3rd party website because then you're at the mercy of their shareholders who WILL change the unbroken thing for no reason.

Yes, Warhol and Duchamp and all the other "what even is art anyway" people are absolutely trolls; they revealed as assumptions what others saw as ironclad axioms and the reaction of the orthodox art world was part of the work they intended to create.
