The amusing thing about Notch is he could have been like the toast of programmers everywhere if he had been just marginally less greedy. Mojang had 40 employees when he sold it. He could have negotiated a deal that made every one of them multi-millionaires, kept himself around in a bullshit leadership role to "keep the team together", and still been a billionaire. Instead he booked it to LA with the entire $2.5B and the employees got $300k (but only if they stayed on for 6 months).
