The best is when I was outprocessing in 2009 and one of the last stops is a talk to a retainment officer, who gave me the "if you get out now without going guard or reserve at the least you might get recalled blah blah" talk. "Ok, out of curiosity what do I need to do to get to an SF national guard unit?" "Oh, they're already over strength. In fact almost everything in the national guard is full, as well as the reserves" "...oh." I didn't sweat getting recalled too much.

I am annoyed by the cult of objectivity and how it means a lot of media says that unless they extensively report on Warren's "likeability" and charisma, they are being too biased in her behalf. But repeating over and over in headlines that she's not likeable pushes people not to like her!

She is generally pro-consumer protection, and pro worker, and has worked to limit corporate influence at the SEC. She's good. Just...own goaled herself so hard she's lucky she's not Columbian.

Ok I just popped some vyvanse so buckle up Warren is pretty decent policy wise. She isn't full socialism now but is willing to use taxes on capitalism to meet some of the goals of socialism. She is old but she'll be under 80 at the end of her possibly 8 years if elected in 2020. She is also a democrat which means the moneybags in the democratic party can't pull the "well bernie isnt' REALLY a democrat" because while that thinking is lovely bernie WAS an outsider because while he always worked with democrats and was never really involved with the internal workings of the party. I'm afraid she'll be easy to dunk on though. No matter how good you can debate, trump is gonna go "nuh huh you're wrong pocahantas!!" and if you have someone that is just gonna respond meekly or whatever it was hillary did. What is more important in my opinion is that the democratic party has someone vocally calling out succ dems and pushing hard for minimum wages, healthcare, weed etc and that person doesn't have to necessarily be the president. If AOC and Pelosi start pushing agenda hard then you really just need a democrat that is going to simply not veto it. So to conclude you need 1) a democrat to vocally push for universal healthcare etc and 2) a dem presidential nominee that won't veto it 3) a dem presidential nominee that can be a rude boy to trump when needed 4) a dem presidential nominee that won't get brain worms during their (hopefully) 8 years in office

I'm genuinely interested if Kamala Harris can clear the primary or not. In the general, her copitude could be just the thing to go against government corruption. In the primary though, she might need to make with the lockerups to make up for her copification.
