Speaking of moon path, is it worth grabbing? It seems pretty cool but I've heard a lot of complaints that it corrupts save files or something. Sounds spooky.

From everything I have heard, Moonpath is one of those neat historical curiosities in that it was very impressive for its time but hasn't aged well.

I never really got the slowdowns other people talk about with Legacy but I'm glad it sounds like it's even more stable in SE.

Are there any mods that let you dismiss a housecarl? I was gifted one, but I really prefer to not have some lady in clunky armor wandering around my house. Murdering them seems like going too far - I just want them to go back to whatever they were doing before I was made a Thane.

Okay so I'm about to pull the trigger and start installing poo poo for Skyrim SE. If anyone sees any red flags pretty please let me know. Tools: MO2 SSEEdit for merged patches Wyre Bash for bashed patches LOOT SSELODGen (is this necessary?) Mods: Skyrim 2017 Textures by Pfuscher A Quality World Map Achievements Mod Enabler Book Covers SSE Cutting Room Floor Detailed Rugs Enhanced Blood Footprints Immersive Armor Immersive Weapons No NPC Greetings, limited distance Real Roads for Skyrim Realistic Water Two Relationship Dialog Overhaul Ruins Clutter Improved Rustic Clothing Skse64 SkyUI5 Skyrim Flora Overhaul Static Mesh Improvements Unofficial Skyrim SE Patch I got rid of Immersive Citizens since its supposed to be incompatible with way too many mods. I tried looking for some mod that adds higher level enemies but the only one I found was this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3231 which, judging from the comments, seems like it isn't really balanced and you'll find yourself getting one shotted out of no where.

Oblivion XP is a good mod if you want to avoid that, as it lets you choose what abilities you want to upgrade whenever you level. It lets you assign anywhere in Skyrim as your follower’s “home” so that when you dismiss them, they return to that spot instead of their original or current home point. So just take your housecarl for a little joy ride and say take them to their jarl’s home or just in the middle of the woods and through a few simple dialog clicks you can deposit them wherever and they’ll stay there. Then when you go back to your house, it’ll be nice and empty again.

I've never played enough Skyrim to end up with a home + multiple followers but uh, what happens then? Do you just accumulate a collection of followers who hang out together in your house? I got and dismissed Faendral before I had a home and he just went right back to his woodpile.

I don’t really know, to be honest. I think housecarls go back to homes in their hold of origin—Lydia goes back to Breezehome in Whiterun, for example, if you dismiss her. But I’ve played the game with mods for so long that I don’t really even know how vanilla Skyrim treats followers. This is why I liked using MHIYH and Helgen Reborn in tandem, because at the end of the quest line you functionally have an entire town that’s yours that you can plot your followers into with MHIYH to mill about it when they’re not out there with you.

MHIYH and some of the other follower tweak mods don't work well with custom followers, from what I've gathered. Speaking of custom followers (Inigo, Lucien, etc) that have their own AI for where they live/horse riding/clothing etc. The author use their own scripts, and there's no an easy way to make them compatible with the generic follower logic overhauls. IMHO the custom followers are a heck of a lot more fun too. If you want that harem of big titty anime girls or a bunch of orphaned kids (the loli-looking child mods are SUPER CREEPY in this regard), you have the opposite scenario though, you prob want to avoid custom followers and stick to Immersive Awesome Follower Tweaks and MHIYM. Uh, I think I may have been doing something wrong this whole time and wanted to double check: I was going over the tuco guide again just to refresh myself on some of the beginner things, and I read the wryebash stuff a little more closely, and it says after you rebuild the bashed patch, you DO NOT need to reenable all your plugins, because the disabled ones are in the bashed patch. I've been enabling all plugins every single time after I rebuild the patch, is that potentially going to cause problems or is it just like, hey, you don't have to do this but doing it isn't hurting anything either?
