I love pitties. We went to a local adoption place and there was a super handsome platinum blue pittie with a big ole block head and awesome temperament. Of course he got adopted right before we went in :) / :(

I'm around pits all the time for work because they're generic tow yard dogs and they all have the best temperament to the point that I think they all kinda suck at their jobs. They're great. Except this lab/pit and the other pit there got all excited and jumped on me with muddy paws. YA JERKS

They're off duty when you go visit them during the day. You need to go there at night to assess how well they're doing their job.

Speaking of books, since I have to fly overseas in a month does anyone have a recommendation for something to read if that last thing I enjoyed was The First Law trilogy?

I'm a huge First Law fan myself, have you read all of the other books? The Heroes, Best Served Cold, Red Country, The Great Leveller? How about his newer trilogy, the Shattered Sea series (Half a King, Half a War, etc) I think that one is really strong.

I know I'm a bit late on this but from the last year, in terms of good sci fi and fantasy I've really enjoyed the Emma Newman books (Planetfall, Before Mars, Before Atlas) as well as Amatka, Semiosis, Blackfish City, Bourne. The Murderbot Diaries series is also real good.

Another guy who does grimdark very similarly to Joe Abercrombie is Mark Lawrence. Prince of Thorns trilogy is pretty good, Red Queen's war trilogy even better. He put out some short stories just like Abercrombie recently too called Road Brothers.

That reminds me, anyone else here see Bullet Head on Netflix? Basically a trio of robbers try to hide out in a run down warehouse and whoops, turns out there is a very large, very, very angry dog that's also hanging out there. Very low budget but thought it was pretty good for what it was.

Also I think Netflix owns John Malkovich's soul or something.

Malkovich has entered the Michael Caine / John Travolta phase of his career where he'll take just about any role as long as he gets three hots and a cot.

Anyone else watching You on Netflix? Started watching last night and blew through like 7 episodes before I realized it.

Random Netflix recommendation: Murder Mountain. It's a true crime documentary about Humboldt County that does a deep dive into law enforcement, marijuana growing, legalization, black vs. white markets, etc. Having worked up there trimming as a teenager it was really interesting. The eponymous Murder Mountain is also pretty freaking nuts, and the missing persons case they start with ends up getting solved in a surprising and dramatic way.

I don't think the divorce counseling is (directly) affiliated with the church, that's just where it takes place. Otherwise that would not be constitutional? If that phrase still has any meaning whatsoever
