But there are only (5 hours) of TV, where could they find time for the performers to crack jokes at each other that THEY came up with.

This doesn't really feel like a big deal since Jacksonville is just a few hours away from Orlando. I imagine a ton of NXT talent were there.

Alternately NASCAR rivals do exist, it's called F-1 and IndyCar.

I mean, NASCAR like the good ol' days is absolutely something people talk about all the time. None of them know a money mark though.

While we're on the subject, IndyCar's president just said their races on broadcast networks get 2-3 times the viewership as their races on cable networks. Maybe useful for predicting what Smackdown can get on Fox.

Aphrodite posted:I mean, NASCAR like the good ol' days is absolutely something people talk about all the time. None of them know a money mark though. A money mark wouldn't do poo poo though, unless the money mark was Bruton Smith. NASCAR owns half the tracks and the other half are owned by Bruton Smith, who makes the vast majority of his money from NASCAR events being held at his tracks. If he allowed another stock car circuit there, NASCAR would pull his dates. yes, there are other tracks but all of those are too small and don't have the infrastructure to support a NASCAR-like competitor.

NASCAR has also lost its most popular drivers and done everything possible to piss down its own leg over the past decade. I'd say Indycar is more comparable to NJPW in that it's not close to as popular as it was in its heyday, but is doing quite well for itself now and light years ahead of where it was 10-15 years ago.

When I saw it I thought it was just a banana, but white people like to ruin everything and make it racist. I don't think she was malicious but she's probably going to get a ton of tweets telling her that she is even if it was banter between friends with no racial context.

This is the point where you just apologize, say you didn't realize the racist context but you've learned now and won't do it again, apologize again. And then walk away and accept that some people are gonna keep on you about it and you just have to let that happen and not start screaming about how bad social justice is or why rappers can use the n word or something equally stupid.
