folks regularly throw bananas at black soccer players worldwide (which is admittedly how I’m familiar with it); it’s definitely A Racist Thing. E: oh god what an awful way to start a page uh has this been mentioned yet? https://twitter.com/lanawwe/status/1083105938725314561?s=21

I don't think she was malicious but she's probably going to get a ton of tweets telling her that she is even if it was banter between friends with no racial context. A classmate of mine from college had the chance to play 2nd division soccer in Italy, and said one of their black teammates had 2 things thrown more than anything at him in road games: Batteries, and bananas.

Does he have a support system in terms of brothers or sisters that could help him out? I wonder about the other wrestlers that start training young and what things could be done to help them not end up like this.

Jerusalem posted:That tweet lead me to this rather heartbreaking story That article is a bummer. He's only 40 though. Hopefully he can turn himself around. "Morishima never married as he said that due to his size, he didn't think any woman would want him" reminded me of this picture and how awkward he looked with his hands down firmly at his side.

I'm mainly confused as to why anyone would think they'd use a different method of birth control. Things like condoms and pills can be forgotten, left behind, etc so an implant makes the most sense.

That's why there are so many forms of birth control rather than just the one. Also this is weird.

ThePariah posted:Morishima His aborted comeback was one of the biggest disappointments of last year. He'd booked himself against Takashi Sugiura, who was one of, if not, the best wrestler in 2018, and was talking about doing AJPW which opened a lot of amazing potential matches. Then he had his weird appearance at the Marufuji show, then an injury postponed it until this year, and then his arrest. I just hope he can get himself into a better position mentally.
