My dog has utterly dismantled 2 rope toys and 3 Kongs in the last two weeks, I’m starting to get a little worried, I thought those Kong toys were supposed to be as tough as a dog toy can generally be, and I’ve never had a dog destroy even one of them before. The little dude adores me, but that’s definitely a rather intense amount of energy and jaw strength to be laying next to me as I sleep.

Kong's are usually really durable but if they have the will there is a way! My rear end in a top hat dog has decided he no longer needs to go outside to go to the bathroom. Our new house is 2 stories, our other houses have all been 1 story so I don't know if he is just lazy or what but it's freaking annoying and I have no clue how to break him of this.

My idiot dog once ate a ball and it got stuck in his intestines. He almost died lol.

If you’ve only gotten red kongs, get the black ones instead. Red ones can get destroyed. Black ones are for heavy chewers.

Yeah my big dumb german shepherd has had the same black kong for a couple of years now and hasn't torn it up. He has destroyed everything else we've ever given him.

It seems like he just can't hold it anymore. Our dogs have always been super great about whenever everyone gets up, they get up, even if it's at like 9am or something but now it seems like 5am hits and he has to pee and he will literally just squat right in front of us and piss on the floor if we don't rush to get him out. Same for poop. He still goes outside, we have a bell we hang on our back door and trained our dogs to ring it when they have to go out, and he DOES still do that, but it seems daily now he is peeing/pooping on the floor. It is mostly upstairs in the loft. I am also wondering if he has a UTI because we moved him to a room downstairs last night on the hard wood floors and he pissed on his bed which is very odd, so maybe there is something more going on.

Any time a pet has an incontinence problem, a vet visit is warranted to rule out a variety of possible health issues, yes.

I'm jealous of you dog havers. Going to be doing some dog sitting in February but we cant full-time have a dog due to my wife's allergies. It's her parents' dog we'll be looking after, and it's supposed to be hypoallergenic (spaniel/poodle mix) but she's still a little allergic. Oh well, I'll enjoy our little bit of time with a doggo.

He'd break tennis balls in half instantly, but that Kong ball was solid rubber and perfect.

I definitely didn’t intend to, but a friend of ours had to move out of the country a few years back, and we took in his year old puppy. He’s pretty good as far as pugs go, but that just means that while he’s expensive, dumb, lazy, helpless, sheds, snores, smells, and is likely to die of some genetic disorder well before other breeds might, he’s slightly less so than other pugs.

Knowing my limitations I wonder if a pug would be a better dog for me than a healthy border collie. Not that I'm going to get either but if I had to choose.

My friend and his wife inherited her Grandmother's less than one year old Chihuahua a while back. Chaquita (now called Keats) ended up being an atypical Chihuahua fortunely. She barks anytime someone comes in the house but after 30 seconds is content to just snuggle or lay at your feet. Every other Chihuahua I have met is awful.
