I had a disturbing experience with survival mode yesterday. I had just finished Hole in the Wall and was wrapping up making some starch in Hangman's Alley. I paused in the doorway and looked back at Curie, wondering if I should take her to Diamond City and see if she had anything interesting to say there. Suddenly, I hear footsteps rapidly approaching. Before I can get fully turned around a gunner yells "LAST MISTAKE" and mows me down with an automatic at point blank range. It was all so sudden.

The reason game assets are in .ba2 files is that the scripting engine can't cram more than 64MB of data on directly, and tends to infinite loop if it does. It won't save the expanded list of plugins, but if you update a script to bump yourself over this limit you're kinda boned. Sim Settlements stored the gribbliest city planning object placement stuff directly in-script for speed of access, and now it ships standard with 15-actor reduced-detail city plans and optional downloads for larger ones.

RVB completely died when the show started trying to take itself seriously, around the time the AIs and the Dakotas popped up. A lot of FO4 just didn't really grab me but I liked dicking around building water purifiers and tbh Nick Valentine owns a lot and I only played as much of that game as I did because I dragged him around everywhere. Him and dogmeat.

I gave Dogmeat a box in Hangman's Alley and when we got attacked by gunners again he ran out and grabbed a legendary gunner so I could get a clear shot at her. He is a good boy.

He was lying to Walking Cloud (I think that was the name?) about her husband being dead because he considered her too immature to be able to handle the truth, a symptom of his tendency to infantilize the Sorrows, but his relationship with everyone in the tribe was platonic.

That freefall mod has some pretty decent stuff in it. Already found some of the new lore so that’s nice. Did notice a lot of food not giving you rads when you were hungry. I thought he mentioned he was trying to keep it as vanilla as possible so I dunno. One quality of life thing I noticed is bloat fly bodies stay together in a bigger chunk so it’s easier to loot. I appreciate that.

Or hell at least let me hatch the egg and imprint on the baby deathclaw and turn it into a pet. e: Apparently there was supposed to be another quest in Salem about kids with magic powers (from Skyrim) and a town that was afraid of them.
