Part 2 of the Nov. 8th 1989 Corpus Christi Caller Times comic spread. All of these are timg'd because they're all pretty large without it. I don't know if breaking tables is still bannable or if the tables even break at this point but some I had to leave quite large to keep the detail in (mainly Calvin and Foob) Beetle Bailey / The Born Loser Andy Capp / Hagar the Horrible Marmeduke Calivn and Hobbes / I Loathe My Children and Dog (Foob) I've seen that Calvin quote used a lot around the internet, nice to see the context with the first panel. My friend should count himself blessed to have such a quality Calvin on his birthday. Countering the FooB dog loathing with Peanuts aka Charlie Brown loves his dog. Frank and Ernest Shoe / Luanne Wizard of Id / Snuffy Smith Doonsbury / Garfield Tiger / Gasoline Alley and finally one from the sports section, In the Bleachers which I didn't crop because I liked the framing of this picture. Of all of these, really the only one I've not heard of is Tiger. One thing this look really shows me is how woeful my local podunk shitrag's comic section is. It's all zombie strips and the sunday spread is like five comics blown up absolutely massive. They do have Tinkersons at least. I should write to the editor and try to get some of the better strips added.

After doing some searching, I'm gonna jump to the Geech strips that GoComics has dated for November, 2008. Aside from not being just three years ahead of the strip's death (though I can't find enough details to nail the reruns down to an actual year), the scans are also cleaner. The first strip in that run falls on a Wednesday, so instead of dropping another six strips to get lined up, I'll throw it in tomorrow. Today's Garf Zippy Ripley's

Of all the comics in that grouping Geech looked like one of the more enjoyable ones! I am curious to see how it plays out week to week. Also be safe Jamal's mom!!

It happens because Holbrook needs a reason to blame victims of crimes for being victims. Going off the reservation is one excuse. Edit: I'm in denial about the amount of danger that Jamal's mom is in.

Holbrock would have Jamal become a cop, then travel back in time to become chief of police so he can make the fat cop take sensitivity training. Brooke McEldowny would just have the mom and cop start loving.
