iirc he's always been kinda like that but it doesn't really bubble up to the text usually I mean aside from the hamhanded 'religion sure is dumb' core message if I'm correctly remembering a comic I haven't read since Saddam Hussein was still alive

PHIZ KALIFA posted:the thing about most webcomics which lose themselves to batshit insanity is that the point where things go south is rather genreally visible. with sinfest i just . . . what? how did it become this weird anti-porn screed. in 2018. dude is one of the oldest in the game at this point and NOW he's going batty? why. It was a gradual descent. At some point he started to feel bad about writing his only female character as a dumb ho (she is literally introduced as a 'ho' in the comic), but went a bit too far, and now erection was invented by Satan (also a character in the comic).

I'm almost impressed by Maritza Campos' evolution from poo poo to less poo poo to poo poo Photoshop to PHOTOSHOP!!! to aping Mike Krahulik. Did CRFH reboot or something? It looks like not much has changed in the decade+ since I last read it.

Probably not much changed during the time you read it, either! I remember reading it one day and suddenly thinking, "Wait a minute, this isn't good!" and stopping because less and less was happening every day while the fanbase was getting more and more obsessed. (Fun fact: yes, there was a #CRFH channel on IRC and yes, I idled in it.)

It'd be about as old as SA if not older, if it's still around.

Where in the Bible does it say that you must obey to every strange thought that pops up in your head? Is it common in the US to believe God talks to people in their mind?

I'm guessing you're not familiar with the kind of people who do church at home and believe that a personal relationship with Christ supersedes the Bible- they're outnumbered by Catholics and mainline Protestants, but are way more prevalent round where I live than atheists or wiccans or w/e some of them, the fringe to be clear, are "christian identarians" who believe that whites are gods chosen, and explosive is maybe a more fitting term than you think

Anybody else remember a site called sixsixfive? (or know if the author, JSP, was a goon?) because while it wasn’t strictly speaking a comic, he did post some once in awhile. I’ve never gotten this one out my head: Safety Tips From Anubis. It’s an archive thing and weirdly small. Hopefully the direct link is OK.

oh my gooooddddd that safety tips from Anubis one is a throwback. I never realized it was a series, but I've seen it circle social media a few times so it's managed to outlive it's own comic? That's weird. The internet is weird.
