In today's Corto Maltese "Explosive sabotage? We don't know anything about that" says the crew, hastily putting out the last of their smoldering clothes, or Corto is given an offer he can happily refuse, or Let all who do ill know this precedent - "Man may his fate forsee, but not prevent". So of all axioms, this one takes the prize - "'Tis better to be fortunate than wise" So ends our time with the lunatic Baron. You may not be surprised to hear that his attempt to overthrow the Bolsheviks ended in defeat and his execution after a 6-hour trial in 1921. But Corto's story has not finished just yet... Join us next time, won't you? In...

He won't touch wet for more than a couple of days in a row, but he doesn't seem to get tired of dry food. For what it's worth, my wife is a veterinarian and states the dry food is perfectly fine for cats. We get them Purina Pro Plan - Indoor Formula and they like it quite a bit! Avoid regular Purina and Science Diet and some of the other ones, and obviously avoid anything vegan/vegetarian for cats. But you're not hurting your cat's health by giving it dry food, so do not stress!

Samovar posted:In today's Corto Maltese I may be in the minority here, but would you be willing to maybe switch to posting 2 of these at a time similar to how Modesty Blaise has been posted? I still enjoy these quite a bit but the 4-5 pages a day is starting to feel a bit long and impenetrable, I often read these during short bursts of free time and it's just a lot to take in at once. Thank you again for posting these! And this is just a dumb request/suggestion, not a demand, so if you have reasons to keep posting as you are or other people prefer it, by all means continue. Vargo posted:I'm probably going to do one a day for about a week because I think this story is best experienced one at a time and then go back to posting them in blocks until we catch up to the present, which shouldn't be too long. You keep doing what you're doing with it - the pacing suits it really well now. And also thank you to everyone who skipped ahead for using spoiler tags when talking about it!

Timing is whatever, but why are you putting the strips in spoiler tags? If you're trying to protect people from trauma triggers I'm pretty sure that only really works if you tell them what triggers are present in the spoiler.

Aleph Null posted:Should've been obvious to anyone reading the strip up to that point. Looking back I remembered the spoiler tags starting one day earlier than they actually did, which would have implied "violence against women" when the reality is "violence against children", two very different triggers. Even so, assuming that is the point of the spoilers I would still say it's best practice to be specific in warnings; the situation could have easily changed again and resulted in the Mom getting shot. I try to go for the pacing that I feel doesn't break up action or story beats, but if people would prefer 2 strips a day, I'm game for that - that sound good to everyone?

Honestly, it was just for dramatic effect on these two strips, because they were hotly anticipated and tense. It wasn't intentionally for trauma triggers, but if it served that purpose, that's a bonus. I'll probably stop doing it tomorrow.
