There are 15 sequels to the film Witchcraft (1988) and for 13 of those sequels they are sequential sequels with the same continued story characters etc.. ( played by different actors) . All told there are 16 Witchcraft movies and it's AFAIK the largest sequel series with a continuous story line that has now lasted 30 years. Its loving weird. Troublesome Night series from China which has 19 sequels , but its a anthology series. Hollismason fucked around with this message at 06:47 on Jan 21, 2019 |

Some 25 years ago, the hottest thing around for a short period of time was the sequel to Gone With the Wind called Scarlett, which got a TV movie adaptation. Meatballs, too, got a bunch of sequels. Probably nothing of the plot of any of them actually tie into any others. The odd thing is that I don't think I've ever seen the original Meatballs, but as a kid and teenager I watched the ones on TV and video with the 'kids at a Summer camp befriend alien' and 'dead porn star tries to get a teenager laid' ones. I know it's pretty recent, but Hot Tub Time Machine had a theatrically released sequel not that long ago and I think it faded from memory pretty quickly.

I saw a YouTube review of Legend of the Titanic and thought it looked funny so I went to go find it. I got most of the way through the movie before I realized that I was watching a completely different Titanic cash grab called Titanic the Legend Continues.

I have to post this whenever Trinity comes up: http://snipeseyes.ytmnd.com/ When I saw that movie I had so many reasons I hated it. Why'd they kill Whistler? Why'd everyone not get Whistler was a bad guy? Why is Blade barely in the movie? Why (at the time) doesn't Ryan Reynolds get a better superhero movie, he seems funny? Turns out the answers were pretty much entirely Snipes acting like a drugged out nutjob forcing them to re-write the script on the fly to shoot around him constantly which is hilarious. Well except the last one, the answer to that is 'Deadpool wasn't a franchise yet.' Blade 3 was a poo poo movie I hated but it did make me like Reynolds, I guess.

Val Kilmer was going through a divorce so when he showed up on set he demanded to be in the film 40% less. And Brando, oh man. Peak insane Brando. He insisted that the world's smallest man be in the movie. I think he even wanted to give him all his lines of dialogue as well. haljordan fucked around with this message at 17:12 on Jan 21, 2019 |
