It drives me loving nuts when devs obfuscate the way game mechanics work to the point where players have to look up third party sites just to know what actually works

Recoil Direction needs to end in a number as close to 5 as possible. Higher (closer to 100) is always good, but 5 is king. 65 is better than 74. 85 is better than 99. Arrowhead Brake (barrel mod) adds 30 to RD. Counterbalance Mod adds 15. So if your gun would be closer to -5 by adding 15, CB makes it better.
