I put like 100 hours into Ni no Kuni 2 but that was like me doing all the content and finishing the skirmishes and the magic door dungeons and such. You get enough money to finish the town looooong before you finish all that content, like I was routinely capped out at max kingsgilders. It's kind of sad and weird that once a building has finished all its research options there's no real point to keeping it staffed so you get all these people who are like "I'd love to come to Evermore and research science!" and then after 10 hours you shove them into a mining camp for better drops.

I only ever got 1 plat and that was for the Sly Cooper 1 remaster on PS3. But that was a super easy plat to get for a really fun game.

Ace Combat 7 progress: Everything has been going smoothly and now that I hit the (Mission 15) total blackout of communications and everything going to hell, the game finally got to that neat political intrigue phase. Although I can't help but wonder if the Belkans are somewhat responsible for every single conflict in this world. Also, in the Princess rescue mission, they play a song through the radio so I guess that is going to be the one getting remixed for the climax. Apparently I played 85 games in 2018 according to that website.  Must have popped a lot of poo poo on for 15 minutes and tried a bunch of PS plus games for 30 seconds because by my account I think I played about 20. Also the time played log is outrageously high. Says I played 1677 (4.5 hours a day) hours when I play about 1-2 hours of games on weeknights and probably 2-4 hours a day on weekends. I don't think I've actually logged 4.5 hours in day more than a few times. I was all pumped to buy Re2 when I got off work today and then I ended up getting stuck there for almost 13 hours and by the time I left I didn't even loving care anymore. Guess I saved myself $60 until tomorrow morning

I realize I'm going to probably sound like a weird non-gamer person when I ask this, but what is the point of trophies/achievements/platinum on a game? They've never been anything I've chased unless there was some kind of reward tied to them, but they obviously have tremendous appeal to be in almost every game on every platform out there.

Some people cant help but complete lists and the trophy system gets in their minds and it creates sales. Like thousands of copies of bad games with easy trophies get sold a day

When I beat a game, but I'm still enjoying it and want more, I look at the trophy list for ideas. If it's fun or interesting, I go for it, but if it's bullshit, I won't. I've only ever platinumed two games, Bloodborne and HZD, because their trophies were reasonable and the games fantastic.
