I think it sets a hard limit of 125x125, but in almost applications that's getting shrunken down to a square that's the same size as the default font to fit on a single line, both horizontally and vertically. Once you get some decent emojis in its nice though, you can add reacts that tag at the bottom of any comment. Squaresame gets a ton of use.

Discord allows 125x125 but displays 32x32. The full sized image is still stored and some bots can access that through commands though.

If a nazi says "kill all jews/blacks" and a socialist says "gently caress nazis", the centrist will pooh-pooh the socialist for saying a bad word. I think the chef himself comes from a frozen pizza brand called discorse or something, which can also mean "meal" in romance languages?

After seeing the way that smilie is used here it’s weird to see this Medium articlequote:not only is it a high-quality meme, it’s inclusive — this meme, if this could ever be said about one, makes a typical Tumblr user feel safe. Included. Welcome. The key word “discourse,” meaning “written or spoken communication or debate,” ties it all together, and you thus feel like a part of that mass communication. That chef isn’t winking at you for nothing — you are involved in that “discourse” in some way, and he knows you are. And so on. Now I feel like I have no idea what it is https://medium.com/@meganhoins/what-the-discourse-has-to-do-with-internet-discomfort-6a554408966b

I've always interpreted it as 'This course' but with a heavy Italian accent so it turns into discourse.

On twitter it's used to say "wow, this is a perfect example of a bad media/political narrative" & that's why i added it

As a Long Island native it always made me think of this: http://www.borrellisrestaurant.com/ Although in hindsight, that certainly looks like an amateur trace of whatever the original is. I wonder who came up with it first. This is the "Jazz" cup design mystery all over again.

It spontaneously appeared on every single pizza box in the known universe around 1961. Just like all the plumbing vans with a logo on the side of a guy holding a drain snake and doing that "keep on truckin'" pose

I'm sure it didn't originate there, but that chef was part of the clipart library in MS Office in the late 90's/early 2000's. Maybe he's still there!

Chefs have been assuring people by leering manically and making the okay gesture for decades It took them a while to perfect it, back before that gesture became the standard "Eyyyy, atsa perfecto!" gesture they were throwing up all sorts of random gang signs over food:
