That wasn’t very funny.

Well, I did laugh once or twice out of the sheer audacity of what was happening but that was it.

I'd also add the Alan Titchborn situation episode to the list of really good live dollops.

It's completely insane and full of ridiculous characters.

I have to agree with the overall sentiment of the dollop not being anywhere near as funny anymore, crazy mexican jailbreak not forth coming of course. Although the recent episode about the water monsters still held my attention. Maybe I'm just tired of historical episodes of workers getting screwed over, they're all just pretty much the same obvious and not very interesting story.

Y’all talking about live eps but no one’s brought up the New York to Paris Car Race???

Speaking of live eps, anyone planning to go to the Los Angeles show coming up?

Flagstaff, Arizona
So I just got back from tonight's Phoenix live show, and it was loving excellent. I took 2 of my buddies with me who had never listened to the show before, and Dave basically starts it with "If you're hoping to show them an intelligent discussion, you picked the wrong night."

Spoilers for the topic: Turns out the guy who popularized Truck Nuts was from Arizona, and let me tell you, old people mixing with the internet gets loving WILD.

Can't wait.

I was at the LA show with Karen Kilgariff. It was good, but not great, I'd say. Definitely enjoyable, though.

Topic spoilers: It begins with a history of Satanism in America for like 20 minutes, but just when you think the whole story is about Satanism, Dave starts talking about Procter & Gamble (the makers of Ivory soap, Folgers coffee, a million other things you probably have in your house right now). Turns out, the same people who said rock music was from the devil also thought P&G was Satanic and spread false rumors about them, for decades.
