I have a trip to NZ coming up to see the in-laws and realized they might have halal snack packs there. A little research later and I've added an extremely promising kebab place to my list of must-visit places. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's given me something to look forward to.

One of the things I miss about living in Omaha is a greek restaurant that does this, except instead of american cheese, they put on a quarter-inch thick slab of feta.

wikipedia posted:A halal snack pack is a dish consisting of halal-certified doner kebab meat (lamb, chicken, or beef) and chips. It also includes different kinds of sauces, usually chili, garlic, and barbecue.[1] Yoghurt, cheese, jalapeño peppers, tabbouleh, and hummus are common additions. The snack pack is traditionally served in a styrofoam container, and has been described as a staple takeaway dish of kebab shops in Australia. you can get caloriemate on amazon if you want to try it.

It was the chocolate one, I think. It was very, very dry and didn't taste great. I think I ate one bar and threw the rest away. It looks like something from 50 years ago, I love the aesthetic and just wish it tasted good

Fergburger if you're in Queenstown or i think Devil burger is the other one Also there's a fuckload of good breweries Hey! This store is no joke about 700 metres (half a mile) from my house in Parramatta. His chilli sauce is insanely good. If you're in Sydney, Istanbul in Parra is the store. They do really good pide as well.
