Now, no matter what I watch, at least two of the recommended videos are lovely dorks complaining about ess jay dubs in their Star Wars, and one video is ALWAYS "Why The Last Jedi Was A Total Cinematic Failure." I refuse to click them on general principle, but I'm pretty sure that I'd need to launch a video in order to mark it as something I don't want more of. Ugh.

You can remove videos from your watch history and that will adjust the algorithm...somewhat. Amusingly I had to do that for an install video for my CPU heatsink because YouTube thought I had a massive nerd boner for computer hardware because I watched the video three times, so my recommendations were full of benchmarks and performance reviews and stuff for months afterwards.
