Was kinda excited to play a BR with Titanfall movement so the lack of wallrunning killed all my enthusiasm. This it just worse Blackout.

I'm pretty excited for this game. I love that they didn't spend months trying to hype up the game with new screenshots, character profiles, and the like. They just gave a single day for the hype to brew to perfection, then let it spray out at the optimal time and place. I don't care if this is evil EA forcing Respawn to make this at gunpoint or whatever, I can already tell I will enjoy the poo poo out of this.

Played a round. Wow it's really loving not fun. The movement is incredibly sluggish like you're wearing a lead belt. My TF2 muscle memory keeps wanting to slidehop but instead I just sprint for a second then crouch in place. Even Fortnite has a more fluid movement system than this.

Just put 4 rounds in. It's SUPER similar to Blackout. Pretty much a blackout clone. It seems pretty polished. I didn't have any issues in the games that I played. I'd like to see a solo mode, right now it's only 3 person squads. Thankfully everyone I was grouped up with had mics so we did well. The jumpmaster picks where you jump but you can opt to jump solo if you want to. The weapons all feel pretty good so far. The inventory management system is a little awkward. You have to select a grenade before you can throw it which is very unintuitive. Some of the regular abilities don't seem to make sense or do anything. Bloodhounds L1 looks like it is supposed to be like a sensor ping? But it didn't show enemies right next to me. I'll def. be playing more tonight. Edit: Like Sultan said, movement feels really sluggish You can also put your weapons away to move a tiny bit faster. However, the lack of double jumps, wallrunning, or any kind of speed boosting kinda sucks. It's definitely just Blackout with one billion unlockables squirreled away in lootboxes and purchasable characters. I played 2 rounds and didn't enjoy it at all.

Well I don't know if Blackout has the Hero abilities, I've never played it. But its the same thing BLOPSIII multiplayer had and it was stupid there too.

In the launch stream, one of the devs said something like "We had to take Battle Royale and make it ours, make it UNIQUE". Well, they made like an EXACT clone of Blackout. The game looks good but that's about.

I was so excited to see this as I have always been saddened by titanfall not getting the acclaim it deserved. I’m surprised at some of the negative impressions of this thread. I really enjoyed my time (granted I only played 4 rounds). I LOVE the whole, no jumping around a stupid waiting area, even though the character selection is still a wait. Wonderful feeling shooting, very well paced. I’m enjoying it way more than I thought I would.

Played a match and it seems alright but it's still a BR game. Also I dont like that there are no solo option and you're stuck with 2 randos. Honestly just makes me wish TF2 PC multiplayer is more alive.

I am so loving utterly beyond disappointed. This may be a good game, I havent had chance to try it yet. But to get home, find that it has no wall running, AND there is no Titanfall 3 today in the same blow? gently caress that poo poo.
