I mean, I feel like the obvious take is "depends on where and for how much per night".

Why does that bedroom have an extremely deer-themed corner? Also I feel like wood-covered range hoods would get extremely gummy and gross, even with regular upkeep. Unless, like so many of these kitchens imply, you never cook.

Oh man, reclaimed wood and subway tile in the same kitchen. What a great way to say "flipped in 2006, flipped again in 2019".

I am unreasonably angry at the way the tile wraps around those shelves.

A fireplace like that is always going to spread a little ash, splinters of wood and wood dust on the floor if you actually use it. The stupid rocks are going to ensure that you're never going to keep the floor clean unless you're willing to move the rocks away, brush them, sweep the floor and move the rocks back. Also that's a very boring rock collection.

I figured the rocks were a cheap way to get some heat sinks in front of the fireplace.

Isn't a wood-burning stove like that supposed to have firebrick or other similar material in it to serve as a heat sink?

TooMuchAbstraction posted:Isn't a wood-burning stove like that supposed to have firebrick or other similar material in it to serve as a heat sink? Typically they have firebrick in them to withstand extreme temperatures, fire bricks protect the steel sides of a stove from excess temperatures, meaning your wood fire is more durable and will last longer. Fire bricks have a low thermal conductivity - meaning heat does not pass through the fire bricks, instead they reflect heat back into the firebox of the heater to ensure a hotter and more efficient burn. For heat storage, stoves are often made of or covered in dense tile or soapstone so the material stores heat and radiates it out for a long time. Hearthstone soapstone stove:

I'm with the Slate reporter. I hate that island vanity! But I guess in a house that big you don't need to do anything but touch up and wash your hands there, there's probably a separate make-up/dressing area.
