In that interview, when Matt mentioned OWS & the problem that Obama was president so they didn’t have a sort of collective vocabulary, I was immediately reminded of the surge in dsa membership november 2016. I also think he’s spot-on that a year ago it felt likeclimate change was just going to keep getting worse and politicians were just going to shrug till we all died, but that it seems like we might actually turn a corner and instead of “the black death” kinda bad, it might just be “seriously hosed up” bad.

This may come from me being a lazy, depressed lump, but imagine working to make the world a worse place. Not making the world a worse place as a consequence of doing something you enjoy, not benefiting from doing something bad, not doing something bad to fund an expensive lifestyle. Sitting down, forgoing leisure, and expending effort because you want to spend time making life worse for poor people and covering for death squads.

Haven't only heard of the man and not much detail into his life I just finished reading Kissinger’s Shadow and what a horrible gently caress piece of poo poo human. I still have a few other books to read all on the US Policies in Central AND South America which I'm sure will piss me off

I’ve been recently inspired by the Chapo Trap House tabletop RPG gaming Call of Cthulhu episodes and now preparing a similar campaign of my own to run with some friends. For uh, reasons [1.
