Maybe it's like Monopoly or Cards Against Humanity or Munchkin. Board game fans can explain in detail why those are bad, poorly designed games. But if you're playing them with friends they're still a good time. Their technical quality as a game doesn't matter because they just exist to facilitate spending time with your friends. Is that the appeal of blackface, it works the same as Munchkin? Is blackface the same as Munchkin?
