I don't know yet. But it would be just for fun. Everyone here making simpsons memes has some kind of hook. (to take America by storm ) I was thinking of my hook being that I'm an animator and all, something like this: I have a lot of admiration for the golden age and even season 1 simpsons eps that featured bits of really amazing animation. I was thinking of taking some of those shots and basically redrawing/reanimating/remixing them with different characters or other weird poo poo, but using basically my own hands-on study of classic simpsons animation while making it go a bit psychedelic. Anyway, if I do something really oddball I might want to get someone to do a voice at some point. With all that said...here's my alltime favorite scene in the entirety of the Simpsons ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3dqwTEfliU Maybe we'd find out 'what that is.' Bonus: Season 1 is oddball as hell and 'breaks' so many of the simpsons design and storytelling 'rules' that came later, and I kind of love it for it, because it was clear the artists had quite a bit more freedom early on. You'd never again see a character as twisted looking as Lucille Botzcowski, or perspective shots exaggerated quite that extreme in the series after that. The show improved but it lost the wonky experimental stuff that I find appealing now in hindsight. Me loving around with making simpsons into experimental animation can kinda be my way of paying homage to that I guess. Spacedad fucked around with this message at 17:41 on Feb 10, 2019 |

Hey I was wondering - can any of you fine folks here help me hunt down scenes/shots/sequences in classic simpsons (by season and ep) that have really good animation in them? They can be large moments that are really elaborate or really small ones that are just a really good 'take' or reaction. Bonus points if you can help me identify the animator (or story artist, as many of them were used for key poses for the outsource studios) responsible for the animation. (A lot of Brad Bird Sideshow Bob scenes are likely to come up.)

The animators always seemed to love Homer the most. This popped into my recommended and thought it was neat, at least for the win animations and Frosty Chocolate Shakes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWhgpZNY2ik
