Zulily Zoetrope posted:The dog meat ban will also outlaw eating cat meat. "Eating pussy" could be interpreted as either the consumption of feline flesh or the act of cunnilingus. Since the law will ban the former, the poster is suggesting that, due to the double meaning, it would also ban the latter. This is a "pun;" a joke which relies on a word or phrase having multiple meanings and conflating them. I'm sorry, I thought it was funny. And I wouldn't be human if I didn't want to share my terrible pun

I'm going to tuck into some gammon before hitting the bark and insects. It's been marinading in sherry and ale for decades so it should be delicious.

This isn't even controversial. People vote Tory because they promise to scrap human rights protections. This is a positive story for the majority of Tory voters.

What sort of lovely jams do you Brits eat, jam is like the ultimate mold resistant superfood. I've had an open jar of jam in the fridge for like two years and it's still as good as new.

i want to reassure the british people itt that they’re not alone: the unpreparedness of the british customs is rivaled by that of the french customs we don’t have the infrastructure, the people sent to deal with the increase in traffic are only currently being recruited and have no experience of customs work, there will not be enough veterinarians for the inspections, we’re expecting that st pancras will have room to house a bunch of french customs officers on rotation, they’re supposed to create a new statute for certain administrative personnel who will have to do night shifts, and so on so our own incompetence will compound yours!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRMwCz_Q9b4 I don't like the journalist's style (he's got that annoying Louie Theroux manner of acting like a clueless innocent all the time) but it's interesting to hear what the people on the border have to say. See if you can guess where they have to go to find someone who actually supports Brexit, and even wishes that things could "go back to the way they were 40 years ago"!

I was under the impression that NI was basically full of brexit voting conservatives There's going to be a lot of Unionist defectors after Brexit takes hold, because they'll know materially they're better off as part of the EU under reunification with Ireland. The question is what are the Tories in London and the Protestant diehards going to do?
