That's what I figured too, but confusing the warlord era (circa 1930s) and the three kingdoms era (circa 3rd century AD) is a critical failure to do any kind of research at all. Literally the only thing they have in common is "a time period when China was not united". And like... there's a lot of those. If anything I wouldn't be surprised if Three Kingdoms is the most popular TW game in China by far when it's released.

Oh yeah I forgot about Arch Warhammer's lore videos where he's so obsessed with 40k minutiae he insisted on refusing to talk about the first war for Armageddon because in the lore that conflict was covered up by the historians after the planets population was genocided. And now that I looked that video up to laugh at his obnoxiousness, I'm getting recommended videos from him where he's screaming about feminists ruining 40K because the website Bell of Lost Souls gave a "feminazi" a platform to talk about problematic issues with Warhammer.

Looks like a mixture of Empire TW and his Ultimate General Civil War game. He started making terrible mods for Empire and many subsequent total war titles, then split to make his own games. His last title UG Civil War is legit great. It makes some compromises on the grand strategy level, but the AI can actually handle itself. The battles in it are legit 5-10x the sizes of TW game. The graphical fidelity is reduced, but it has a nice style, and I never zoom in anyway in TW.

His mods weren't terrible, but he got a lot of angry reactions from places like TWC for adding extraneous star wars art to his work, like making advisor lady into princess Leia. Even so, I'd highly recommend Darth Mod for Napoleon because it makes the game so much more fun. Then he got mad that he thought he was snubbed by CA for some modders event, said screw you guys, and went off to make ultimate general.

Which is why I didn't book it off when it was initially announced. I knew the first date would be pushed back. Wasn't expecting that to be the case with the second date. I need to use that holiday before the end of April anyway so it's not waste, just a shame that it got pushed again. Come to think of it i might actually get around to completing my second run of persona 5. Hopefully we get the WH2 DLC a bit earlier with the pushed date as I've played both WH1 and 2 to death now.

Looks neat. I like the idea of having multiple officers with their own sort of squads to watch over after seeing this. There's a lot of other stuff I like, but this has me much more hopeful about Records Mode. Also noticed no raze option once the battle was over.
