I always find the line in the original movie where Anna is wishing her sister had tropical powers kind of funny, because my god if her ice is this destructive, I would not want to see her wielding any sort of heat powers. Arendell could be thawed, but if it were burned to the ground it would have been a waaaay bigger job.

I have a very strong, very stupid hate for Frozen (which I have seen about 20 times due to work-related reasons...) and I do not think it is a good movie. But it is worth a watch at least once, it does have some beautifully animated moments, even if I think it's mostly pretty lazy and nowhere near as nice to look at as Tangled or gently caress, that teaser. actually i think i just love will smith, like i know he's a scientologist and i don't remember ever enjoying any of his films but he himself seems dedicated to some bizarre but very specific magical cosmic mission that requires him to constantly do stuff like this and i for one appreciate it

I've actually grown to like Frozen a lot more after having my kids watch it repeatedly, surprisingly enough. I've always given Tangled the edge, and I still think it's got a higher "likability" factor, but I appreciate the tight, confident, efficient storytelling of Frozen. (Well, except the trolls I guess, their scene doesn't really do anything.) Count me as another one who's strangely pumped about this.

I really don't know how, but I've still managed to avoid actually hearing the original let it go song. A billion people referencing it, of course, but not the song from the movie itself I do need to see tangled though. I hear it's fantastic and the slack-jawed gape from the main dude's emotional concept sketches has been my steam avatar forever, but I just haven't seen it.

the troll's song is probably the worst part, it's not really funny, stops the action dead and it makes them come off as selfish morons at best given Kristoff was there to try to get them to help keep Anna from dying.

That's a great trailer. I'm intrigued. It looks more like an action adventure movie than what I would expect. Almost like frozen was just the beginning of elsa's superhero origin story. Maybe there will be a post credits scene that links to Moana, building towards a shared cinematic universe of Disney Warrior Princesses.
