What are some good videogame romances? There have to be at least a handful by now. I think Farah and the Prince had a pretty good thing going in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, even if the sequels shot it to hell.

I adore BJ Blaskowicz and Anya from the new Wolfenstein games. It is why I rank them so highly :D

One of the worst Bioware romances is still EDI and Joker.

Great job at ruining what was an interesting relationship in 2 by turning into EDI into a anatomically correct fembot, guys.

I was expecting, and would have been happy with, a small Hornet side story that was a few hours long but this seems incredible. I hope is doesn't pull a Dark Souls 3, but based on what they've put out so far I have faith in Team Cherry.

The newer Fire Emblems have taught me that I'm pretty okay sticking to XCOM and Battletech. I liked how Conquest played but I couldn't get around everything surrounding it.

Not EDI was pretty fun to play as in multi at least. She cloaked, could self-revive, and got shotgun buffs so you just jammed the biggest gun up something's rear end and fired away

My purchase of Silksong hinges entirely on the travel system in the game because Ive never quit a metroidvania game as hard as Hollow Knight but if travel were at least better I could deal with my other complaints.

As a counter point, I loved the travel system and enjoyed the dozens of hours I put into Hollow Knight just the way it is. If they change it too much, it risks losing that certain... I don't know what that made it really click for me.

I didn't have a problem with the fast travel system per se but the world was so enormous it was easy to get to the point where getting back to a station took too much time to be comfortable. Maybe there should have been a spell to teleport you from any position to the nearest station.

there is a spell that lets you set one teleport point to warp back to at any time, you could drop it at a station

The fast travel system only got annoying in the late game when you were running all around the place.

Then they added the teleport ability in a patch and most of my issues with it were fixed.

Getting this ability fixed most every issue I had with hollow knight, and if silksong is set up similarly I just hope you get an ability like this earlier.

That means you haven't played any of the DLC either, so you should do that. They added some really good boss fights.

If I remember correctly, this was supposed to be DLC for the original game and was a stretch goal for the Kickstarter. They ended up expanding it into a full sequel instead of just DLC.

But because it was a stretch goal that was promised for the original Kickstarter, backers are getting a free key. Back one game, get two out of the deal. That's pretty cool, I gotta say.
